Snowboarding happily at Whistler, Jan 14th, leaving Todd in the Dust, but not for long, hahahhahahha
One standard triple tumble wipe out and a snap leaves me grovelling for a ride down the Hill.
5 hours waiting in the whistler clinic to be told after an Xray that they can't do anything, would need surgery. Was to wait for a call at home for a time. 4 days later lying around at home with a broken fibula, got the call for surgery at Lions Gate. One plate and one independent long screw through both fib and tibula, was out of there. healed at home for 8 weeks to get an infection. Antibiotics from a local Dr seemed to cure that, but it came back 10 days after finishing the antibiotics. Again couldn't get in to see the surgeon so local Doc gave me the same course again. Swelling and hot wound subsided again.
Off to Italy with some precautionary antibiotics from Doc Panagiotopoulos, April 18th started to feel like crap and ankle pain increasing. Took antibiotics. April 24th, Kostas agreed to take metal out.
This leg is supposed to be at the bottom, but it just won't go there, so this is where it stays, the end result, here in Kazakhstan, finally back at work. Slowly the leg is stretching and making it back to running condition. July 2013
